Leaking Water Heater Damage Mitigated

A local home suffered a water loss. The source was a leaking water heater which caused a fair amount of water to leak into the surrounding wall and spread several hundred square feet from the initial source. Following a call from the homeowner SERVPRO® of Santa Clarita Valley was able to get on site within a day. Immediately upon getting on site, we were able to check the levels of moisture in the surrounding walls. We set up a dehumidifier and air circulation fan to extract any remaining moisture and dry out the area. This drying was completed in 2 days. Even so some of the drywall and insulation needed to be removed from the walls. 

Thankfully, the homeowner recognized the problem and gave SERVPRO a call. SERVPRO® of Santa Clarita Valley was able to completely mitigate the water damage within just a few days.
